Brixham is at the Southern most tip of Torbay and is one of Britain`s most beautiful working harbours. It is an idylic town with narrow winding streets and colourful fishermans cottages. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars throughout the town and along the waterside. Just past the Marina and Breakwater beach is a lovely Seawater Pool which is staffed by Lifeguards during the peak season and is a very popular spot for Visitors and Locals alike. There are regular ferries to Torquay, Paignton and further afield to Dartmouth a beautiful town on the banks of the river Dart. Brixham is an ideal base to explore the South West either by car or on foot. Along the coastline of Torbay there are no fewer than 24 beaches and coves offering sunlit secluded spots or the more sociable beaches for families.

Walkers are well catered for in the area with the English Riviera coastal path, which is part of the South West coast path, the largest footpath in Britain. Teignbridge and South Hams are neighbouring areas with their own beautiful villages, views and countryside. Totnes is a must and has been described in the broadsheets as one of the top 40 places to visit before you die and is only 8 miles away ! There are theatres, water sports, gardens, country parks and historical buildings. Golfers needs are met with a number of local courses, the nearest being Churston Golf Club, 18 holes par 70. There is also a Cayman golf course nearby. The wonderful Paignton Zoo and Environmental Park is a day out not to be missed along with its sister attraction Living Coasts in Torquay. Horse riders and cyclists are all catered for within Torbay and the surrounding area. It goes without saying that the area is full of yachts and sailing boats and Brixhams Heritage Fishing Fleet on which you can book short day or evening cruises. The area is popular with sea anglers. There are fishing trips daily and Brixham has a sea anglers club. Likewise it is a great area for the course angler. For those who wish to explore further afield Exeter is a 30 mile drive, Plymouth 34 miles and 36 miles to the Tamar bridge making Cornwall and the famous Eden Project a realistic day out.

One week is not enough to sample all the delights of the area, visitors become enchanted with Brixham and that is why they continue to return to this lovely destination. We are fortunate to experience some of the best weather in the country with thousands of palm trees to prove the point, the resorts micro-climate makes short, off-season breaks a realistic option. It is also becoming a popular choice for Christmas and New Years celebrations.
